About Sandra
On the national stage, I serve as President of the League of Black Women, where I focus the organization on advocacy for leadership success for Black women and girls. I represented LBW at The White House Forum on Women & The Economy and presented at the EU Commission Global Summit on Women Stabilizing an Insecure World in Brussels, Belgium. I recently presented at the Harvard Business School Symposium, Gender and Work. Currently I serve on the Advisory Boards of Seaway Self Help Credit Union and as a Member of Congresswoman Robin Kelley's Task Force on Women and Girls. As a known national voice for advancement of women and girls. I was interviewed by ABC7 TV news for comment on the historic appointment of Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson to the United States Supreme Court.

As your Trustee, I have successfully championed new village policy in numerous areas:

- Successfully advocated for policy requiring conversion to hybrid police cars. ($6000 / mo)
Gender equity in public safety resulting in women now serving on the Olympia Fields police force.
